The kabagarame I knew Not

THE RABBIT ON THE PULPIT

PART 8 “The kabagarame i knew Not”

As day followed darkness,
We discended upon the Nyungu Yamawe,
Forest Park, upon resting the Subalu,
In the parking lot at the Park,
With Pat, partaking in the hunt..
Carol liked Karo with Kikalayi,
Walayi…

Our order was ten kgs,
As though kagu was in the house,
Then, Oh Lord came girls from Bushenyi,
With good legs,
And withought leggings!
Soft ,floral coloured dresses,
That made me feel tingerly,
With my friend Humphrey,
Looking side by side,
As skies in the woods turned grey,
Was it the rain maker Aggrey,
Wrestling with the impending rain?
Small droplets, sneaked through,
Time after time,
Couples gazing melancholily…
Oh Willy…

The rain maker was fun and filled!,
As he adorned a grey tattared shirt,
And a long-short pair of trousers ,
Torn on both buttocks,
As the thin threat of a strip,
Ran between the two mounds,
Not wounds!

He walked confertably albeit..
All women and girls applouded his name,
Without shame,
Oh yeah, Kafiti, the village wag,
Work that rain! Waguan!
Rasta rain, do the Nyungu magic!,
So we enjoy,
Without strain,
Or stress,
So, we impress!

I sunk into the crowd,
Meditating like a coward…
