The Jinja road traffic encounter with Ricey

RABBIT ON THE PULPIT

Part 22 “The Jinja road traffic encounter with Ricey“

They say fate is the mother of destiny,
That is how it turned out to be on Queens Way,
Before being swayed astray,
And, awed ,away,
Mawe!

It was around 5pm, Friday noon,
When our cars kissed,
Front and hind,
That I came out menacingly,
Like a lion to mawl it’s prey!
Alas the while!

Where upon, the brunette
In Colour pink shades,
And white tunic linen dress,
Emerged, and
Engulfed this soul in her shadow,
Like the shadow of death…
As though shades of grey..

Her disarming smile in this despair,
Made me almost disappear,
Only to appear,
On her car behind or rear,
But for being so near..
I hear…

Having been knocked,
I took a deep breath,
And promised to repair,
What would have been her fair share ,
Again like Kafiti,
The Village Wag!
