The forest encounter

The Rabbit on the Pulpit

Part 13 “The forest encounter”

Darkness, like happiness,
Collapses, onto light,
Hyenas dancing under full moonlight,
The last rays of the sun, announcing,
End of the day, by the horizon light…
Singing “ Kamakune Ehweire!!”
Across, the valleys and hills,
The echo would reverbarate,
As we shouted often to imitate,
The hyenas, giving away thier daughter,
As it rained while shining so bright,🥰
“ Empitsi Yahingira!! “ we shouted..

So it dawned on him,
When they suddenly met in the woods,
Overlooking the cabins made out of wood,
The eyes, meeting once, twice then thrice,
Like winning the game of dice!,
In this Worried Cup, not world Cup..

What a chance!
He winked as her eyes, pierced through,
Those tall pines, pines of pain at Nyungu,
Each breath, bringing them close,
Enough to disclose..

The mood, beneath the moonlight,
Flickering , like a tranquilising niddle,
On a rabit guinea pig,
Carcas of the hound!
Like Runa, our childhood one-eyed dog..
R.I.P innocent hound,
You succumbed, to that eye wound,
Mucus oozing through and through..🥲🥲

… and they met, perhaps later mate,
Like that school-mate,
Who, tormented innocent souls..
Like Nakamatte,
Soft, tender like Yoghut from Nakumatt
Hakuna Matata..🌳💪🏿
