Marrying a ghost

RABBIT ON THE PULPIT

PART 51 “Marrying a ghost”

Dreams they say, are harbingers,
Harbingers of fate,
So they say,
Its never late,
To date the near cousin of death,
The dead are not dead,
Discuss..

It was around 7pm on a saturday, 1979,
As i lost the front teeth,
Having recouped some coins,
From the rats’ disdain,
It gave one pence,
Instead of two or three…
It ghosted me🥱🥱🥱🥱

I hate the rats’ offer for the childs’
Tooth,
It detoothes,
And gives an offer better than none!

That is what happened,
When one is married to a ghost,
The ghost that keeps at bay,
While one is at a sickbay,
By the way…
Waiting to whisk you away…

People get married to ghosts,
The whatsup ghosts,
Ghosting them away, all the time..
The spirit wonders all the time,
Ghosting each other along the way..

Marrying the Ghost,
And getting lost,
Like Kafiti,
The Village Wag
