When a lion is chasing you,
Only a fool will stop on the way,
To ask or ascertain whether it is male or female..
Albeit this, happens often than not,
Whether life is cold or hot…
Like yestarday, while on that dusty way,
Towards the highway,
Some event occured anyway…
Eyes glewed to the ground,
A black cat crossed my way,
From right to the left!

,
A sign of bad luck,
For the rest of the day..
I juxtapaused,
As opposed to mere ignoring,
This pre-cursor to a bad day…
I spat where it went, in and with disgust,
Yes, but also dispair!
How can a cat cut my fate?
Then i gnawed my teeth ,to seal off bad luck,
On the shrubs, that swallowed the cat..!
Again, a long tailed rat, instead, emerged,
Crossed from left to right!
This again, meant some good luck,
Since it moved from left to right,
The day would be bright!
I smiled at this mammal,
With a mammoth smile,
And picked my legs again…
Like Kafiti,
The village wag..
